The 1:35 wheel masking set for the Soviet 76.2 mm M1936 gun marks out the border between tire band and rim with no lining by hand. The cutouts are cut for the kit from Bronco.
Responsibility details are not available.
A painting accessory, not a model. The masks stick onto the carriage wheel and separate the rubber tire band from the face of the rim. The set is cut for the parts from the 1:35 scale Soviet 76.2 mm M1936 gun kit by Bronco.
With a mask in place, the confidence it gives tempts you into spraying the paint thoroughly and several times over. That is exactly what spoils the result. Every coat adds thickness at the edge of the mask, and once it comes off a palpable step is left on the border, which shows up under side lighting as an extra line. A heavy film is also more brittle, and when the mask is peeled away it likes to flake off along with the bit that overlaps the edge, leaving a ragged edge behind. The third problem is legibility: the carriage wheel has lightening holes and pressed edges on the rim, which a heavy coat fills in and the model loses them. Stick to the rule of a few genuinely thin passes with a pause between them, so the thinner can flash off. Coverage is built up by the number of thin coats, not by their thickness — and the moment the paint covers, stop, even if it could still be improved.
Lower the pressure and spray square from above. Remove the mask as soon as the paint has flashed off — on a fully cured, thick film the edge breaks away more easily. Store the sheet flat, out of direct light.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. Paints, thinner and the target kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
