A detail accessory, not a kit. The set contains fabric straps 2 mm wide of fine, laser-cut microweave, this time in several shades. The variety of color makes it possible to tell different kinds of strap and load apart in a single scene. These are universal strips without buckles for securing loads, tarpaulins, crates, jerrycans and other equipment realistically on vehicles and in a diorama in 1:35 scale.

What the straps are for

The microweave behaves like real cloth, so the straps drape naturally, can be bent and hug the shape of a load faithfully. The material is waterproof and resistant to the ordinary preparations used in modeling, so it will take toning, filters and a patina without fraying. The straps replace stiff-looking plastic or paper strips and lend a scene credibility.

How to use the straps

• Choose the shade, release the strip from the sheet and cut it to the length needed
• Lay it over the load, wrap it around crates or fasten it to the tie-downs of the vehicle
• Fix the ends with a drop of super glue
• Different colors help tell the types of securing apart in a single scene
