Armory 1:35 T-54/55/62 Spider roadwheels is a set of resin road wheels with a characteristically spoked cast disc, intended to replace the plastic wheels of Soviet medium tanks in 1:35 scale.

This item is not a tank kit but a set of replacement road wheels in cast resin. They are swapped for the wheels from a plastic kit of the Soviet medium tanks of the T-54, T-55 and T-62 series in 1:35 scale. Wheels of this type have a cast disc with pronounced spokes, which modelers call the spider pattern, and a rubber tire band around the rim.
The road wheels are the most conspicuous circular element on a tank and every inaccuracy shows. Plastic wheels from a split mold tend to have a parting line around the rim, which has to be laboriously sanded away, and in the process the cast relief of the disc is often damaged. Resin castings are usually in one piece, with more crisply cast lightening holes in the disc and a clean edge at the transition between the steel disc and the rubber tire band. On a tank, where there are several wheels on each side, the difference is multiplied.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting blocks away with a fine razor saw and sand the seating surface on a flat board so that the wheel sits square. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Before fitting, check that all the wheels lie in the same plane: the vehicle will then not stand crooked and the tracks can be fitted without strain. The easiest way to paint them is to spray the whole wheel in the vehicle shade and then brush the rubber tire band in a dark gray; anyone who wants a perfect edge can use a circular mask. Dust and mud where the wheel touches the track come last.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
