A set of photo-etched grilles in 1:35 scale from Tetra Model Works, meant to replace the coarser plastic grilles of the engine and cooling deck on a plastic kit of the Russian T-80U tank. It is not a model but a detail accessory that refines the upper hull.
The T-80U is the modernized version of the Soviet and Russian T-80 main battle tank, which is marked out by a gas turbine powerplant. The T-80U has improved armor and a more modern fire-control system than the base version.
Carefully cut out the original plastic grilles and clean up the openings. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, make the bends with a bending tool and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fine grilles come into their own once painted and weathered with washes and pigments.
The set holds photo-etched accessory parts only. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
