The Decima Flottiglia MAS was an Italian naval unit of the Second World War period, known above all for operations with frogmen, manned torpedoes and explosive motorboats against Allied ships. The nickname the Black Prince is historically linked with its best known commander. The figure treats the subject factually as a uniformed historical person and is a fitting subject for figure painters with an interest in naval history.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off carefully and glue the joints with super glue. After a primer coat, paint with acrylics by layering lights and shadows; oil paints suit the skin and the face well too. A dark uniform comes out well with gentle lightening of the edges of the folds.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is not a toy. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
