A turret stowage bin for the Tiger I, standard model is a photo-etched detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale for a true bin at the rear of the turret of the heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a tank model but a photo-etched metal detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale. The set serves to build a true rear turret stowage bin, the Rommelkiste, of the standard form for the Tiger I heavy tank. The photo-etched walls have the right thickness, hinges and catches, which a plastic molding cannot imitate.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with thick frontal armor and an 88 mm gun. At the rear of the turret it carried a large sheet-metal stowage bin for the crew's gear, which is a prominent recognition feature of the vehicle.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends over a bending tool for clean edges on the bin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; the hinges can be left movable. Apply a metal primer before painting, then add chipped paint and pigments.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
