A 1:35 masking set for the Typhoon-K armored car from SX-Art is cut for the kit from Takom. It covers the ballistic glazing of the cab and the transparent parts that are meant to stay clear once the varnish is on.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for painting, not a model. The set holds pre-cut masks for the transparent and small parts of the model of the Typhoon-K armored wheeled car in 1:35 scale. Because SX-Art makes the same mask for a kit from another brand as well, the cut is the decisive detail: this version is cut to the Takom kit and need not fit another one.
The Typhoon-K is an armored wheeled car with a protected cab and a transport compartment. Its glazing is small and seated deep in thick frames, and there is more of it around the vehicle than on an ordinary truck: the windshield, the side windows of the cab and the vision ports in the sides of the body, plus the headlights. Tape cut by hand is hard to press down in frames this small and this deep and paint bleeds under it; with a piece cut to shape that problem does not arise.
Wash the transparent parts first, dry them, and only then stick the mask on and run a blunt tool along the edge. Paint in this order: primer, base shade, any shading, and finally the gloss varnish under the decals. Leave the mask in place throughout and take it off only once the last coat has cured, preferably after a few hours have passed. Anyone who takes it off sooner will touch soft varnish and print the edge into it.
The package holds masking material only. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
