This kit from the Czech maker RS Models captures the French Dewoitine D.520 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model complemented by clear parts for the canopy glazing. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is intended to be glued with model cement for plastic.
The Dewoitine D.520 was the most modern French single-seat fighter to reach the fighting of 1940 in time. Its all-metal structure with an enclosed cockpit and a V12 engine made it the most capable French fighter of its day, able to stand up to its German opponents. After the fall of France it also served with the Vichy air force and other users.
Glue the model with liquid cement for plastic and sand and fill the joints of the fuselage and the wing. A filler primer is recommended before painting, as it reveals any remaining flaws. Finish the cockpit and the landing gear before closing the fuselage. French camouflage comes out well with an airbrush and a fine boundary between the color fields.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
