This is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale from Tetra Model Works, meant to refine and add credibility markedly to the Trumpeter plastic kit of the American M901 launching station with the Patriot air defense system in the PAC-3 version. The set is not a kit in itself and not a finished model, but an accessory that replaces the coarser plastic parts with thin metal ones.
The M901 is the launching station of the American MIM-104 Patriot air defense missile system. In the PAC-3 version the trailer platform with the launcher is fitted with canisters holding interceptor missiles and serves to destroy ballistic and maneuvering targets as well as aircraft at medium and long range. The assembly is usually towed by a heavy tractor of the HEMTT series.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a mat, the bends are best made with a bending tool or a metal ruler, and they are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Remove the corresponding original details from the plastic before gluing. We recommend degreasing the set and spraying it with a primer for metal before painting.
The set holds photo-etched accessory parts only. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
