The combination of the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw.IV medium tank in a late production version with a turret matching the Panther F type is a late design idea from the end of the Second World War that never reached series production. In modeling terms it is interesting precisely because it joins two well-documented assemblies into an unusual silhouette, which makes the finished model a piece that draws attention in a display case. The description keeps to the technical side; historical interpretation is not its subject.
Use the set at the stage where you have the basic assemblies of the model fitted dry but not yet closed up. Bend the thin parts over a sharp edge or in a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a toothpick. Before you start painting, degrease the whole model and use a base coat, otherwise the paint holds poorly on the smooth surface. With late German equipment it works well to build the finish up from a dark base through the base shade to lightened areas, and then to add the patina with a dark glaze into the recesses, a dry brush on the edges and pigments on the running gear.
