DEF Model 1:35 US Marines Korea Winter 1950/51 Set 2 is a resin set of two figures of American Marines in winter kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two resin figures of American Marines in winter kit from the Korean War of 1950/51. These are standalone figures to round out a diorama or a model of a vehicle in 1:35 scale, not a complete scene. Set 2 offers different poses and arrangement of the figures than the first set. Resin allows fine definition of the clothing and the kit, and the set suits more experienced modelers.
The fighting of the US Marine Corps in the winter of 1950/51 took place in the freezing mountain terrain of Korea. The men wore heavy parkas, caps with neck flaps and layered winter kit. The figures capture the typical look of the period and the field gear.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue; protect your airways while sanding. Use a quality primer. Paint the winter uniforms in muted shades, bring out the recesses with washes and model the folds with oil paints.
The set holds figures, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and a base are not included in the package.
