The Vickers Medium Mk.II was a British medium tank of the 1920s that followed on from the Mk.I and replaced older machines from the end of the First World War. It was one of the first vehicles with a fully revolving turret carrying a gun, which foreshadowed the classic layout of modern tanks. The construction was riveted, fairly tall and only lightly armored, and it was powered by a gasoline engine. It was built and rebuilt from roughly the mid-1920s to the mid-1930s, and the British army gradually withdrew it only at the end of the 1930s. As a training and service vehicle it played an important role in the period between the world wars.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the individual tracks before finishing the hull, and give attention to the fine external details and the riveting. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched part with cyanoacrylate glue. Interwar British machines usually wore uniform green or brown shades; after the base coat and the clear coat under the decals, pick out the detail with a wash and add dust and mud with pigments.
