A photo-etched wicket type B in 1:35 from the manufacturer Aber. A diorama accessory: a pedestrian entrance wicket for the fencing of a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched metal diorama accessory in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. The set holds parts for assembling an entrance wicket in the type B variant, that is, the smaller way through for people on foot, which complements the entrance gate and the fencing.
A wicket is the detail that gives the whole its logic: a scene with a fence, a gate and a wicket reads as a real place rather than a backdrop. Photo-etched metal holds the thin sections of the frame, the infill and the fittings at a scale that in plastic would be unrealistically massive.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out by twisting. A photo-etch bending tool or two steel rulers will serve for the bends. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); a two-part epoxy holds better on larger joints. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a base coat meant for metals, and only then acrylics or enamels. You create weathering with a wash in the joints, a drybrush and pigments.
This is a diorama accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and a base board are not included in the package.
