1:35 M10 tank destroyer Basic is a Voyager Model photo-etched add-on set in its basic version, meant for a plastic kit of the American tank destroyer you already own. It holds neither the model nor the kit.

This set from Voyager Model is prepared for the AFV Club plastic kit. With this manufacturer the basic version designation means a narrower scope than the extended editions. It typically covers the most visible features, where swapping plastic for thin metal has the greatest effect on the final impression.
The M10 was an American tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Sherman medium tank. Characteristic is the open pentagonal turret with sloped walls and a 76.2 mm gun. The open top of the turret meant quicker handling and a better view, but also vulnerability for the crew. The vehicle was deployed in Europe and in the Mediterranean and became the basis for further versions.
With photo-etched parts the amount of glue decides it. Put a drop on a scrap of plastic film or an old tile and pick it up with the tip of a wire, a needle or a toothpick. Straight from the bottle you will practically always apply too much, the glue spreads over the engraving and the detail disappears. For parts that have to be worked into position, reach for a slower gel or epoxy, which gives time for correction. Use accelerator sparingly and never directly on the joint, otherwise it will dull the surrounding surface.
This is an add-on set for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
