A detail set in turned metal containing 8 British barrels of 381 mm (15 inch) caliber in the Mark I build for turrets without blast bags. 1:350 scale. It is not a ship model but accurate metal replacements for the barrels of the main caliber. The version without blast bags differs from the version with them, so choose the set according to the particular ship and period.
The 15in/42 Mark I gun was one of the most successful British naval guns. Many Royal Navy ships carried it, among them the Queen Elizabeth and Revenge classes, the battlecruiser Repulse, HMS Hood and the later Vanguard. It served from the First to the Second World War.
Separate the barrels from the gate, clean them up and seat them in the cleaned-out holes of the turrets. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Treat the metal with a base coat (primer) before painting.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
