An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese helicopter carrier Hyuga (DDH-181) in the premium edition, in 1:350 scale from the Japanese maker Fujimi. The premium edition usually holds a richer range of extras than the basic version; check the exact package contents and the extent of the photo-etched or add-on parts on the particular box. The model is supplied as an unassembled kit to glue and paint.
The Hyuga (DDH-181) is a helicopter carrier of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the lead ship of the class of the same name. Thanks to her full-length flight deck she can operate a larger number of helicopters and serves as a modern multi-purpose unit.
The hull can be built as a full hull or as a waterline model. Finish the flight deck, the superstructure and the radars carefully; use the extras included in the premium edition as shown in the instructions. Paint with an airbrush and shade the surfaces with a fine wash. Add a display stand to the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and extras beyond the package contents are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
