The package contains twenty very finely turned metal barrels of 12.7 mm caliber for the Browning heavy machine gun. The metal barrels replace the minute plastic parts and give a model a sharp, faithful look. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The Browning heavy machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber was among the most widespread American weapons of the close defense. On US Navy ships it served above all in the early phases of the war as light anti-aircraft armament against low-flying aircraft; later it was supplemented by more capable automatic guns.
Separate and clean up the minute barrels with the utmost care, then degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. Given the very small size of the parts we recommend an airbrush.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
