Turned 381 mm L42 Mk.I barrels (the long version) in 1:350 scale from the maker Aber. A set of accurate brass barrels of the main caliber for British battleships and battlecruisers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of turned metal barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. They replace the plastic barrels of the main artillery of 381 mm caliber (the L42 Mk.I type, the long version) on models of British battleships and battlecruisers. It is not a model of a ship but a detail accessory meant to raise the fidelity of a build.
The 381 mm caliber was the main armament of British units such as the Hood, the Repulse, the Queen Elizabeth and the Vanguard. The turned barrels capture faithfully the slender profile, the muzzle and the proportions of the real guns, which injection-molded plastic often cannot render accurately.
Cut the plastic barrels off and replace them with the turned parts, square up the ends and deburr them. Degrease the brass before gluing and roughen it lightly, then glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Metal takes ordinary airbrush painting once a primer for metals has been laid down.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
