Aber 1:350 – turned barrels for the Japanese destroyer Yukikaze is a detail set of turned metal naval gun barrels for refining a model of a Japanese destroyer in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains turned metal (typically brass) naval gun barrels intended to replace the plastic parts on a model of a Japanese destroyer in 1:350 scale. It is not a model of a ship but an accessory to a kit you already own. It is made by the Polish company Aber, a specialist in turned and photo-etched metal details.
Yukikaze was a Japanese destroyer put into action during the Second World War, famous for her luck in battle: she was one of the few vessels that came through the war. The fast Japanese destroyers served to escort formations, to fight submarines and to make torpedo attacks.
Cut the turned barrels off the leftover stub, clean them up and fit them in place of the plastic parts. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for gluing. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer so that the paint holds well.
This is a supplementary turned set, not a model in itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
