MASTER British 4in/45 QF HA Mark XVI – turned barrels (1:400) is a set of fourteen accurate turned brass barrels for the British dual-purpose gun of 102 mm (4 inch) caliber. A replacement detail for a build, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains fourteen turned brass barrels for the British dual-purpose 102 mm (4 inch) gun of 45 calibers length, the QF HA Mark XVI type, in 1:400 scale. The metal barrels from MASTER replace the plastic parts and give the twin mountings a sharp, accurate outline. It is not a ship model but a detail accessory.
The 102 mm/45 QF HA Mark XVI gun was the standard British dual-purpose (anti-aircraft and anti-ship) gun of the Second World War, carried by a great many ships of the Royal Navy. It also appeared in the armament of the updated Polish destroyer Blyskawica.
Cut off the plastic barrels, clean up the mountings and glue the turned parts in with cyanoacrylate. The higher count of pieces lets you fit several mountings at once. Treat the metal with a primer before painting.
The set contains only the turned barrels. The ship model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
