The model is supplied finished: it is completely assembled, painted in a dark gray shade and fitted with glazing and printed details. It is not a kit - nothing is glued, sanded or sprayed; the model only has to be unpacked and stood in a display case. The Skoda 1100 MBX was a two-door version derived from the sedan of the 1000 MB series. It is characterized by a silhouette with no fixed center pillar, thanks to which the car looks light and open with the windows down. In design it stayed true to the conception of the whole series: a four-cylinder water-cooled engine mounted at the rear and rear-wheel drive. The coupe was built only in a short and small series, and it is therefore among the most sought-after cars of the Mlada Boleslav production of the 1960s. Precisely because of the rarity of the original, a model in 1:43 scale is for many collectors the only available way to have this shape at home.
Dark gray paint is a rewarding shade: it does not distract, but thanks to its richness it separates the highlights from the flat areas well, so the curve of the fenders and the line of the roof stand out. Place the model so that direct sunlight does not fall on it - long exposure emphasizes the aging of the paint as well as the printing. Remove dust with a dry soft brush or an air blower, not with a cloth, which can rub fine details off. Solvents, alcohol and aggressive cleaners do not belong on the model. If you are carrying the model, take it by the chassis or the roof, not by the mirrors and wipers.
The model is finished, assembled and painted. It is not intended to be built; you need neither glue nor paints for it.
