A collector's model of the Czechoslovak Velorex three-wheeler, done in a brown, gray and brown color combination. It is a finished piece for a display cabinet, not a kit. Nothing is glued or sprayed; the model comes assembled and painted.
The Velorex was a people's car with no equivalent elsewhere in Europe. Its skeleton was a welded framework of steel tubes over which leatherette was stretched, so that the finished vehicle was exceptionally light and easy to repair. It had three wheels, two at the front and one driven at the rear, and power came from a two-stroke motorcycle engine. The second number in the designation 16/350 refers to the capacity of that engine in cubic centimeters. The cars were built in Solnice in eastern Bohemia and are still among the most easily recognized domestic automobiles. The year in the name relates to the real subject.
The model is finished, and so it deserves a place where dust does not settle and direct sunlight does not reach. Small parts such as the mirrors and the wipers are delicate at this scale, so pick the car up from below by the chassis, not by the bodywork. Sweep the dust away with a soft brush; a cloth could break them off.
A finished model is supplied. A display cabinet, a base and other accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
