The Velorex is one of the most characteristic Czechoslovak vehicles of the postwar era. It came about as a light three-wheeler with a tube frame over which a leatherette covering was stretched, which gave the car its unmistakable look and a very low weight. Power came from a two-stroke motorcycle engine, on the type 16 specifically one of 350 cubic centimeters. The car was built in Solnice and was available to disabled drivers as well, thanks to which it became a common sight on the roads of the period. Its simple design and cheap running secured it a special place in the memory of several generations.
A collector's model in 1:43 scale is an item for a display cabinet, not a toy. Place it away from direct sunlight, which gradually changes the shade of the finish and the printing.
