A resin set of the AGM-62 Walleye I ER/ERDL weapon in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. A detail accessory for the external stores of a model, not a kit in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory of external stores. The set of resin captures the AGM-62 Walleye guided bomb in the Walleye I version with extended range and a data link in 1:48 scale. It is a resin accessory for models of aircraft. It is made by Eduard, a Czech maker from Obrnice near Most.
The Walleye was an American glide guided bomb with no engine of its own, guided by a television camera in the nose. The version with extended range was given larger lifting surfaces, thanks to which it flew further after release, and the data link allowed the guidance to be corrected after release from the carrier. The weapon was carried on types of the naval and tactical air forces of the United States; check the exact make-up of the carriers against your own documentation.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, never break them, and polish the surface with abrasive paper. It is advisable to sand resin wet and with respiratory protection. The parts are glued with superglue. Apply a primer before painting, as resin with no base takes paint badly. Weapons are usually painted separately and glued to the pylons only after clear coating and the application of the decals.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The package does not contain a model, paints or glue.
