Resin wheels with smooth hubs and weighted tires for the AH-64 Apache in 1:48 scale from Armory. A detailed replacement for the kit wheels of the attack helicopter with natural tire flattening.

A set of resin wheels from Armory for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. The version matches the machines with smooth main wheel hubs. The tires are cast with weighted deformation - a slight flattening where they touch the ground - so the model stands on its landing gear naturally, like a real machine. The one-piece castings offer cleaner drawing of the hubs and the tire sidewalls than the split parts of a kit allow, and they fit straight onto the kit landing gear legs.
The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat attack helicopter introduced in the 1980s and in service today with many countries. It uses fixed wheeled landing gear with two main wheels and a tail wheel at the rear. The form of the main wheel hubs differs between individual machines - besides the smooth ones there are also spoked hubs, which the maker offers as a separate set. Before building it is therefore worth checking the particular machine against photographs.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the marks down with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires a very dark gray and dust the landing gear gently with pigments for an in-service look.
This is a resin accessory - the helicopter kit itself is not included in the package.
