A resin accessory intended for replacing the landing gear wheels on a model in 1:48 scale. By its name it is cut specifically for the Mk.200 version, that is the single-seat combat form of the Hawk, which differs from the two-seat trainer versions in the front of the fuselage. The manufacturer is Reskit. The kit of the aircraft itself is not included in the package.
The Hawk exists in trainer and combat forms and the individual export series differ from one another in details. Reskit keeps its Hawk wheel sets separately by version, so it pays to check which variant you are actually building before you order a set. The Mk.200 designation in the name is the main distinguishing item here, and it is deliberate.
Resin castings carry remains of mold release agent on the surface, which prevent the paint adhering. So wash them in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry thoroughly. Do not break the casting block off but cut it, and level the surface with medium-grit abrasive paper. Do not inhale the sanding dust from resin; ideally sand under running water or with a respirator. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the bond. Glue the wheels on at the very end of the build, when the model is painted and varnished, otherwise you will easily break them off during handling. Never mix the shade of the tire into pure black; rubber worn in service is markedly grayer in photographs.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
