Eduard 1:48 resin wheels for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 replace the plastic wheels of a model with a more faithful casting carrying a detailed tread and an accurate tire profile.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin wheels from Eduard in 1:48 scale intended to replace the plastic wheels of a model of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The resin casting offers a sharper tread, a faithful tire profile and clean hub detail that plastic parts usually do not reach.
The Bf 109G-6 was one of the most numerous versions of the German fighter of the Second World War, with the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine. The main landing gear wheels were fairly small, and with a heavily loaded aircraft they flattened visibly; faithful replacement wheels can capture that character well.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent, then cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a sharp knife. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection when sanding. Some resin wheels have a flat molded in where they meet the ground – mind the correct orientation when gluing.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended to complete an existing kit.
