A decal sheet with markings of the Convair F-106A interceptor fighter named City of Jacksonville, for models in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Convair F-106A Delta Dart was an American single-seat interceptor fighter of the Cold War. A triangular wing without horizontal tail surfaces gave it a shape that cannot be mistaken for anything else, and it carried its armament inside the fuselage in a weapons bay, so nothing on the wing spoiled its clean outline. It served for decades with the air defense of the United States and some of the machines were given striking color markings, which on a model are worth showing.
The sheet is printed for 1:48 scale and is tied to the machine named City of Jacksonville. The individual machines differed mainly in their markings, so it is precisely the decals that decide which particular aircraft stands on the shelf. Which elements of the markings the sheet contains and to what extent is given in the instructions enclosed.
The surface under the decal has to be smooth, clean and degreased. Unify it with a clear gloss coat first, because on a matte base a white veil arises under the decal. Cut the element off, dip it in water for a few seconds, let it rest and draw it off the paper onto a dampened area. Straighten the position with a soft brush, soak the surplus water away and let the joint dry in peace. Choose the softener and the final coat according to the manufacturer's directions.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
