An injection-molded plastic kit of the single-seat General Dynamics F-16A Fighting Falcon fighter in 1:48 scale from the AMT brand. The set contains plastic sprues, the cockpit glazing and decals for building the whole aircraft.
The F-16A is the first production single-seat version of this light multirole fighter, with a single turbojet, a prominent semi-bubble canopy and an aerodynamic layout with blended fairings between the fuselage and the wings. The aircraft became one of the most widespread Western combat types and served with the US Air Force and with a number of allied countries in both the fighter and the strike role.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, and fill and sand the fuselage joints. Apply a primer before painting, lay the camouflage transitions on with an airbrush in thin coats, and give the surfaces a gloss clear coat before the decals. Pick out the engraved panel lines with a thin wash.
