A detail set of photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the two-seat F/A-18B carrier-based fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory that refines and sharpens selected areas of the kit. The photo-etched parts replace or supplement the plastic items with thin metal detail.
The F/A-18B is the two-seat combat trainer version of the American F/A-18 Hornet carrier-based multirole aircraft. It keeps the combat capability of the single-seat variant and adds a second seat. The richly divided cockpit and the surface detail of the aircraft give scope for bringing things out with photo-etched parts.
The accessory will be appreciated by builders of the F/A-18B model in 1:48 scale who want to lift the level of detail beyond the base kit. Working with fine photo-etched parts suits more experienced modelers.
