A more extensive set of die-cut self-adhesive Montex masks for a model of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 in 1:48 scale. The masks cover the framing of the canopy including the windshield and the wheels of the undercarriage. The application is simple: you transfer the template to the model, burnish the edges down and spray - once it is off, a sharp dividing line remains of the kind that is hard to achieve with tape and a scalpel. The set is cut to fit a particular kit, so check compatibility with another one beforehand.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the two main German fighter types of the Second World War. The A-8 version, built from 1944, was the most numerous variant of the whole A series. A robust airframe, the BMW 801 radial engine with a system for a short-term increase in power and heavy gun armament made it a universal machine, which existed in a whole range of subversions and field modifications - from the classic fighter role to a heavily armored attack rendering. For modelers the A-8 means a practically inexhaustible stock of camouflage schemes.
Degrease the model and transfer the masks with tweezers; stick the divided framing of the canopy down pane by pane and burnish the edges thoroughly. A first light layer of paint will seal the edge and prevent it running underneath, and only then should you apply the covering layers. Take the masks off slowly at a sharp angle before the paint has fully cured.
This is a masking accessory - the kit of the aircraft is not included in the package.
