A sailor of the Kriegsmarine of the Second World War period in the treatment of a ceremonial scene. The figure is intended for scenes by a Type VIIC submarine; this type made up the most numerous group of German submarines and remains the most frequent subject for submarine models as well.
1:48 scale means that an adult figure stands just under four centimeters tall. A size like that already allows the face, the hands and the folds of the uniform to be worked out, and at the same time the figure fits on the deck of a model as well as on a small base. The range contains several items under different codes; the particular treatment of the figure is given by the code of this item.
Wash and degrease the figure before painting; cut the surplus material and the traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the surface down. Use the glue according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions. The best result comes from thin layers of paint, shading of the folds and restrained lightening of the raised areas. Leave the eyes and the mouth until the end, when your hand is warmed up and it is clear how the whole figure reads.
It suits builders of submarines in 1:48 scale, makers of dioramas and modelers who want to try painting figures on a small piece. In a scene the figure gives a model its scale and turns a technical object into a scene with a story.
The submarine model, a base, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
