The set deals with the rear part of the vehicle, that is the access doors, the exhaust outlet and the cooling features. It is precisely the rear that is the most prominent visible surface on this type, and in 1:48 scale the simplification of the plastic parts tells on it the most. The accessory replaces it with more crisply cast shapes. The designation easy means a smaller number of parts and simpler assembly.
The turbine powerplant of the vehicle carries off a great quantity of hot exhaust and heat, and the design of the rear matches that: a large outlet, covers and a cooling system. The rear face of the vehicle therefore looks different from tanks with a classic piston engine and is a readily recognizable mark of the type. The space is accessible through service doors, which can be shown half open on a model too.
After washing the castings and removing the casting blocks, make sure dry how the parts will seat against the plastic hull, and only then modify the bed. The exhaust outlet is rewarding for painting: a base in the shade of the vehicle, a dark sooty tone into the center, and the heat coloring of the metal lightly suggested at the edges. Graphite powder applied with a finger or a soft brush will bring metal surfaces to life, but use it sparingly. Bring the cooling grilles and gaps out with a dark wash, which will run by capillary action into the recesses. Fill the transitions between the resin and the plastic, so that no parting line is visible once sprayed.
