Reskit 1:48 Martin B-57 Canberra type 1 wheels set is a resin set of landing gear wheels in the first of the two forms. It is an accessory to a model of the B-57 bomber, not a stand-alone kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the landing gear wheels on a model of the American Martin B-57 Canberra bomber in 1:48 scale, in the form the manufacturer designates as type 1. Reskit offers two different types of wheels for this aircraft, so you can pick the form that matches a particular machine. It is not a model of an aircraft but an aftermarket detail accessory with a crisply cast tread pattern and hubs.
The Martin B-57 Canberra is the American version of the British English Electric Canberra jet bomber, built for the US Air Force by the Glenn L. Martin Company. The American design differed from the British original in, among other things, the layout of the cockpit and the bomb bay; the aircraft served from the mid-1950s as a tactical bomber and, in reconnaissance versions, for high-altitude reconnaissance as well. It made its mark in that role during the Vietnam War.
Wash the resin parts in soapy water, cut away the casting blocks and level the mating surface with a file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. The tires look better in a dark gray shade, and the hubs are best sprayed separately. On a bomber it pays to weather the wheels lightly with dust pigment so that they match the overall shade of the landing gear bays.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is not a stand-alone model. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
