Eduard 1:48 MiL Mi-24D Hind TFace is a set of double-sided self-adhesive masking templates in kabuki paper for painting the cockpit glazing of the attack helicopter accurately in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a precision masking set, not a model. It holds self-adhesive masks die-cut from yellow kabuki paper that follow the framing of the cockpit glazing of the Soviet Mi-24D attack helicopter in 1:48 scale exactly. The TFace designation means that the set masks the glazing on both sides, from the outside and from the inside, so that the outer and the inner frames of the canopy can both be painted cleanly.
The Mi-24D Hind is a heavily armored attack and transport helicopter of Soviet design. It combines the firepower of a combat machine with the ability to carry troops and made its name in a number of conflicts from the end of the 1970s. Its distinctive feature is the pair of separate cockpits with stepped glazing, whose masking is the key to a faithful model.
Kabuki paper holds its shape, follows curved surfaces well and leaves no adhesive behind when lifted. Apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing and press the edges down carefully so that paint does not creep under them. We recommend spraying with an airbrush in thin coats. Lay down the interior color of the cockpit first and the outer shade afterwards. Cover the remaining areas with masking tape or with masking fluid.
The mask by itself holds no paints and no model. It serves only to mask the glazing while it is being painted.
