Photo-etched steel safety belts for the interior of a model of the Mil Mi-24D helicopter in 1:48 scale. They replace belts engraved in plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-24D is a Soviet attack helicopter which, as one of the few machines of its category, combines combat qualities with room for carrying troops. The D version has its crew in two separate cockpits set behind and above each other. The seats are clearly visible under the glazing, so the belts are among the details a viewer notices on a finished model first.
These are photo-etched parts in steel in 1:48 scale, intended to complete the interior. Being photo-etched parts and the designation STEEL in the name document etching and steel as the material. The exact number of parts, the extent of the fit and the target kit are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by tearing them out - thin sheet buckles if torn. Make the bends with flat-jawed tweezers or a photo-etch bending tool, always in one movement. They glue with a small quantity of super glue applied on the tip of a toothpick. Try to shape the belts so that they fall naturally over the edge of the seat or lie loosely on the cushion; a straight belt looks unnatural. Fit the belts before you close the cockpit with the glazing.
The set suits a modeler who has already worked with photo-etch or wants to try it on a small number of parts. You need tweezers, a sharp blade, a calm hand and good light.
The model of the helicopter, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
