An accessory set from the LööKplus range by the Czech brand Eduard, intended for a model of the Mil Mi-24V attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. LööKplus sets bring together in one package several accessories that Eduard also offers separately, so the modeler does not have to put the equipment together piece by piece. The package does not contain a model of the helicopter; that has to be obtained separately. The exact list of components is given in the instructions and on the packaging of the set.
Unlike a fighter, a helicopter has a large area of glazing and several separate crew stations. The interior is therefore visible from many angles and its simplified form in the kit is glaring. A complete bundle of accessories makes it possible to raise the detail everywhere it shows, and at the same time to be sure that the individual parts are intended for the same type of machine.
The Mi-24V is a version of the twin-engine attack helicopter with a tandem crew cockpit and a cargo compartment in the rear part of the fuselage. Characteristic features are the separate canopies of the crew stations, stub wings with pylons and retractable landing gear. The individual versions of the Mi-24 differ in armament and cockpit equipment, so compare the set with your kit.
The order of work is the key: finish and paint the interior before you close up the fuselage and fit the glazing, otherwise you will no longer reach it. Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent in lukewarm water with detergent and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the photo-etched parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface, and degrease and prime them before painting. Mask the glazing well in advance and glue it at the very end, ideally with a clear adhesive that will not fog the surface.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
