This resin detail set from SBS Model in 1:48 scale contains pilot seats for the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero carrier fighter. It is not an aircraft model but a cockpit accessory for the base kit, which replaces the simplified plastic seats by a truer rendering.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its long range and its agility. It was deployed across the whole Pacific theater. A faithfully shaped seat is one of the most conspicuous details of the open cockpit.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the seat in the period interior shade, pick out the edges with a dry brush and finish any belts according to references.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
