A set of self-adhesive New Ware painting masks for spraying two stripes on Mk.82 bombs in 1:48 scale. Precise laser-cut masks for clean identification marking.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set holds precise self-adhesive New Ware painting masks intended for spraying a pair of identification stripes on miniature bombs of the Mk.82 type in 1:48 scale. This is not a model but an aid to painting aerial armament faithfully. The masks are laser-cut out of fine washi (rice paper) tape which copies the cylindrical body of the bomb precisely and comes off with no adhesive residue once sprayed.
The Mk.82 is a low-drag general-purpose aerial bomb of a weight of around 227 kilograms, belonging to the Mark 80 series. Western air forces used it and use it widely. The colored identification stripes on the body distinguish the kind and the state of the munition; the form with two stripes corresponds to one particular marking which this set of masks makes it possible to apply precisely and symmetrically.
First spray the bomb with the base color and let it dry. Transfer the masks carefully to the right place, press them down along the edges and spray over them with the color of the stripes in thin coats. Lift them off once dry. The masks are single-use.
These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, bombs and glue are not included in the package.
