A photo-etched detail set from Yahu Models in 1:48 scale. It contains fine cooling louvers for the American P-51D/K Mustang fighter, designated Mustang Mk.IV in British service. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for improving the accuracy of the airframe surface.
The P-51 Mustang was one of the best fighters of the Second World War. The D/K version with a bubble canopy and a Packard Merlin engine served as an escort fighter for bombers over Europe and in the Pacific. The perforated cooling louvers are one of the characteristic details of its fuselage and radiator.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, clean them up and shape them gently if needed. Photo-etched louvers look more realistic than plastic ones with a solid filling. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; degrease them before painting and apply a primer for metal.
This is a detail accessory, not a model on its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
