A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale for a model of the Nakajima B5N1 type 97 carrier torpedo bomber, given the Allied code name Kate. This set concentrates on the markings of machines operated in the rear and at home bases. It is a standalone decal set intended for finishing off a matching model.
The B5N was a Japanese single-engine carrier torpedo and level bomber with a crew of three. The B5N1 version was the early form of the type. Besides combat operations, the machines were also used for training, liaison duty and other tasks at home bases.
Prepare the surface with gloss varnish so that the decal does not silver. Soak the subject briefly, slide it off the backing onto the model and press it down gently. Decal softeners make it easier for it to settle into engraved lines. Once it has dried, go over it with matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is a decal set, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
