The set brings colored three-dimensional detail of the interior of the Typhoon-K armored car in 1:35 scale. The details are printed on decal paper, come with their coloring and raised surface finished, and go directly onto the parts of the kit. The set is cut for the Typhoon-K kit from Zvezda. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory that drastically shortens the work on the inside of the cab and the crew compartment.
The Typhoon-K is a Russian wheeled armored vehicle of the MRAP category built on a KAMAZ chassis in a 6x6 layout. The design is aimed at protecting the crew against mines and improvised charges, so the vehicle has a reinforced hull floor, a high-set hull and sprung seats attached to the structure rather than to the floor. The vehicle is intended to carry a crew and materiel, and in the modeling range it is among the newer subjects of modern wheeled vehicles.
It is worked like good quality decals. The part is cut out, soaked briefly in lukewarm water and slid onto a dry, smooth base, ideally one coated with gloss or semi-matte clear. Do not use decal softener or decal fixative at all — their chemistry would damage the printed resin of the element; press the part down onto edges and pressings with a damp brush and a drop of superglue. It is a good idea to spray the inside of the hull with a base color in a matching tone first, so that the edge of the carrier film does not show. Once dry, the surface is evened out with a matte clear coat and can be finished with a fine wash and a dust shade.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
