A conversion set for a model of the German Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. L medium tank to the version designated control tank. Scale 1:48.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Pz.Kpfw. III was a German medium tank on which the striking power of the armored units rested in the first years of the war. The Ausf. L version belongs to the later ones: it carries a 50 mm gun with a lengthened barrel and in front of the face of the turret and of the hull it has spaced armor, so from the side it has a strikingly layered silhouette. Besides combat service, some machines of this type served in a modified form for other duties and therefore carried different external equipment.
This is a conversion set: additional parts with which the model is modified to the version carrying the designation control tank. The extent of the package, the number of parts and which kit parts are replaced or cut away are stated in the manufacturer's instructions included in the package. The scale is 1:48, as the name states.
Read the whole conversion through in the instructions first and plan it out, and only then reach for the knife. Try the parts dry and check how they sit. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little distance from the part and carefully sand off the remainder, and level the mating surfaces flat. The suitable glue is stated in the manufacturer's instructions. Before painting, wash and degrease the whole assembly. With the spaced armor it pays to watch that the plates are parallel to one another.
The set is for modelers drawn to a less usual form of a well-known tank. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
