RF-4B Phantom II ADVANCED kabuki masks (1:48) are accurate self-adhesive New Ware painting masks for a reconnaissance Phantom model, at the ADVANCED level for the canopy glazing and the wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurately cut painting masks of kabuki (washi) tape for a model in 1:48 scale. Kabuki is a thin rice paper (washi) tape with a light adhesive that follows the shape of the frames exactly and does not let paint bleed under the edge. Against the basic set, the ADVANCED level additionally holds wheel masks, so it covers the canopy glazing and further areas beyond the canopy itself.
The RF-4B was the unarmed reconnaissance version of the legendary McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II jet, operated by the US Marine Corps. In place of the radar and the cannon it carried photo-reconnaissance cameras in a lengthened nose. The Phantom is one of the icons of the Cold War, and its intricate canopy glazing is ideal for masking.
Peel the masks carefully off the sheet, move them onto clean glazing and press them down so that the edge seats. Apply the paint in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, and remove the mask while the coat is still freshly dried. Cover the remaining areas with masking fluid or tape.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
