The Si 204 was a twin-engine all-metal aircraft with a cabin for several people, used as a light transport and training machine. The type was built in large series and its production continued after the war as well, when machines operated in several European countries under their own designations came out of it. For a modeler it is interesting precisely because one airframe carries very different markings in different services.
After a template is removed, a faint tacky film is sometimes left on the surface that attracts dust and creates stains under the next coat of varnish. The surest prevention is not to leave a mask on the model longer than necessary, because the longer the contact and the warmer it is, the more adhesive transfers. If a residue does appear, wipe the area with a cotton bud moistened with water and a pinch of dish soap, or with a swab and a small amount of alcohol, and do so very carefully and only on a cured finish. Never try aggressive thinners, as they will dissolve the paint before the adhesive. Return unused templates to their original backing and store them flat, away from heat and direct light; a bent sheet adheres unevenly and the edges lift.
