A resin figure to be painted, not a model. This resin casting from the Czech brand Aerobonus (Aires) in 1:48 scale captures an officer of the Soviet Air Force of the Cold War period. The figure serves to bring an aviation diorama or an airfield scene to life and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
During the Cold War the Soviet Air Force was one of the largest air forces in the world. An officer in uniform represents the command and technical personnel who accompanied the operation of fighters and attack aircraft at frontline as well as home airfields. The man in a period uniform gives a scene scale and a story beside a standing aircraft model.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer before painting; an airbrush will handle the uniform, a brush the face and the details. A wash and oil shading will bring out the folds of the uniform and the features of the face.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
