A set of photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for refining the exterior of the model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale. The photo-etched metal parts fill out thin exterior elements such as hatches, grilles, blanking plates and small sheet pieces, which injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully. It is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory; the basic kit has to be bought separately.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production version of the famous British fighter with its elliptical wing and a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. It was put into action at the start of the Second World War and played a key part in the Battle of Britain.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and clean up the cut faces. Use a bending tool or a straight edge for the bends. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and degrease the surfaces before the clear coat.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
