A fret of photo-etched structural elements for aircraft models in 1:48 scale, the ver.2 variant. Material for completing bulkheads, ribs and stiffeners.
Responsibility details are not available.
The exposed places on a model give away how it is built. In a landing gear bay, under a hinged-open cover or in the fuselage of a broken machine in a diorama, the skeleton of bulkheads, ribs and stiffeners with lightening holes ought to be visible. Making it from plastic is laborious and the result tends to be heavier than it should be; thin photo-etched metal captures it more precisely.
Photo-etched structural elements for models in 1:48 scale, the variant designated ver.2. It is not a set for one type of airplane but building material from which you choose according to the needs of the place in question. Alongside this variant there is a fret with the same purpose designated ver.1. The exact composition of the fret is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the elements off the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and hold them with tweezers as you do so, so that they do not fly off. Make the bends in a bending tool or over the edge of a ruler; repeated bending back and forth tires the material and the part cracks. They are glued with super glue in small drops. Before painting, wash the metal, degrease it and spray it with a base coat for metal surfaces, or the layer will peel off.
For modelers who complete details themselves and for builders of dioramas where the structure of a machine is laid bare. It is worth having on hand even before such a place on a model comes about. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
