A boarding ladder in its own right to the cockpit of the modern Russian fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is a resin accessory for aircraft and serves exclusively as an addition to a model you are building or already have finished. There are no parts of the airframe in the package.
A boarding ladder is the most conspicuous piece of ground equipment that appears beside an aircraft on the apron. Leaning against the side of the fuselage it gives a model scale and suggests action: the machine is just being prepared for flight, or the pilot is coming back. The set can be used outside a diorama as well, simply placed beside a model on a stand.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, so that they are rid of mold release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a disc, not with pliers, as the thin rungs and side rails crack easily. Do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; cement for plastic will not join resin. Apply a primer under the paint. A metallic look is supported by fine drybrushing and a weak wash in the recesses; on ladders the wear concentrates on the edges of the steps and on the handrails.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
