A set of 3D-printed colored interior parts on decal paper from Quinta Studio. It is neither an airplane model nor a kit, but a detailing accessory that fits out the cockpit with finished colored parts. The technology joins the three-dimensional depth of resin parts to the simplicity of colored photo-etch: a layer of gloss varnish over the dials makes them look glazed, and the placards and controls are printed in color straight away.
The Su-27, NATO reporting name Flanker, is a heavy twin-engine fighter from the Sukhoi design bureau intended primarily to win air superiority. It stands out for its long range, its agility and the weapon load it can carry, and it became the basis of a whole family of derived types. The single-seat version has a roomy cockpit with classic analog equipment, which the set brings to life in color.
The parts are printed on a decal backing paper and are transferred with water: leave the cut-out element in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. They have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), which you brush over the surface beforehand; on a broken-up shape a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer at all, as they would attack the printed resin. The panels are pressed gently into the shape of the instrument panel and the side consoles. The set cuts the time spent painting the interior considerably.
The accessory is supplied on its own and contains neither a model nor glue. Check compatibility with your particular kit before buying.
